 Golf 2007

Dr. Rob Neal             Karen Harrison     Bobby Cole

Starting in 2005 under the direction of  Dr. Rob Neal and Karen Harrison with GOLF BIODYNAMICS there team was assigned the task of plotting an individual golf training program for me.  The team at GOLF BIODYNAMICS built an integrated program  by using 3D Swing Analysis,  and video analysis for the purposes of reviewing what my body is doing in real time while hitting a golf ball.  This detailed review  resulted not only in  an individual program for mechanics of  my golf swing but a strength and conditioning program based on my body's real time characteristics, a nutrition program based on my needs today and a mental conditioning program.  A thoroughly holistic approach to integrated sports science support there individual training programs have resulted in some amazing results so far.  For more details see  instruction .

 A great  2007

Semi Finals of The California Women's Amateur

With over 30 events under my belt this year as of December 30, 2007 its been fun learning to play at different course's and under different conditions.  The 20 first place, 5 second place showings in regular events  and 4 successful team events this year  it has been both rewarding and disappointing at the same time. From the disappointment of not going to the US Junior Girls this year to making it to the Semi Finals of the California Women's Amateur I have become more determined then ever to get better.

Tournaments 2007

1. California Junior Golf Tour - Metropolitan Golf Links - Oakland California - January 6&7, 2007

Click on any picture to enlarge

This was a great start to the 2007 golf season. The 75, 74 was a well played tournament in the wind and cold.  A great time was had by all.

2. The First Tee of Sacramento -  TFTGS Junior Points Championship - Whitney Oaks Golf Club - Rocklin CA - January 27, 2007

Casie was invited to play  in the Points Championship at Whitney Oaks after finishing 2nd  overall  The First Tee of  Sacramento's 12-14 year old age group in the 2006 golf season.  This year all the holes were completed on a very tough golf course. The into the green experiment of hitting long or short while making the recorded  score a little higher then would have been  liked was a great success. Casie only missed 2 fairways and  learned much from the experience.

3. California Junior Golf Tour - Fox Tail Country Club - Rohnert Park, California - March 24 & 25 2007

A poor putting weekend still resulted in a first place finish in the Girls 15-18 year old division.  A great time was had by all.

4.  The First Tee of Sacramento -Alta Sierra Junior Classic -  Alta Sierra CC - Grass Valley CA - March 25, 2007

A poor putting weekend still resulted in a 3rd place finish.  A great time was had by all.

5. The First Tee of Sacramento -Brookside Junior Classic -  Brookside CC - Stockton CA - March 31, 2007

This first year event was sponsored by Ensminger Engineering  was a  great event. Piper and her staff did an amazing job. My 80 with 41 putts still resulted in a  first place in the 12-14 year old division . Although it was really second as the overall winner came from this division as well.  A great time was had by all. Congratulations to Julie Shulter for finishing first in the 15 to 18 year old age group. She was fun to play with.

6. JGANC - Castlewood Junior Tournament - Castlewood CC - Pleasanton, CA, April 9-10, 2007

Things getting  a little better. Still struggling with growing  taller . An encouraging 1st  place finish. This tournament as always is one on the best JGANC tournaments there is on the calendar.  The golf course was in amazing shape considering all the bad weather. Maybe next year we will get a return call for a practice round. Wouldn't that be nice !!!!!

7. California Junior Golf Tour -  Tour Championship - Coyote Creek GC - San Jose, California - April 14 & 15 2007.

A poor weather weekend. From rain and wind the first day to a 3 club wind the second day a poor putting weekend got very good on the final 9 holes with only 13 putts.  A great time was had by all.

8. Northern California Short Course Championship - JGANC- Santa Rosa Fairgrounds - Santa Rosa, Ca - April 28, 2007

Another great event put on by Bob Cazet and his amazing volunteers. Some of these volunteers play for Bob on a high school football team. I would name it if I could remember, however these kids are great.  As a large amount of fun was had by all. This was a great short course to play and practice short game play.

9. The First Tee of Sacramento - Bing Maloney Junior Golf Tournament- Bing Maloney Golf Course - Sacramento, Ca - May 7, 2007

Great tournament, great play, great fun , bad scoring. An 81 was only good for a 3rd place finish. With  39 putts it  made the day a long  and windy one  All in all a day to learn and reflect from. Thanks to Tom Morton for hosting a great event.  Congratulations to Tiffany Dong  for winning the overall girls championship her 78 on a though windy day was fun to watch if not frustrating.

10. Manteca City Championships - Manteca Golf Course - Manteca, Ca - May 19&20 2007

Its always nice to play a tournament in the city in which you live / lived . However after playing and practicing from a set of forward tees for over 3 years I was surprised to have to play from as far back as the golf course would allow on tournament day. With that said the 6600 course was interesting having never played from that type of yardage before. It was great fun  and with a pair of 81's not to bad. With  39 putts it on day 1 it  made for a long day.  All in all 2 days to learn and reflect from.

11.  CMS Middle School Golf Team - Various Courses in and around the Tri-Valley area  March 1 - May 30, 2007

L-R CMS 2007 Golf Team and 1st Place Girl 2007 Middle School Championships at Las Positas

This  was an interesting experience. I have never played on a golf team before for more then 1 round. It was fun practicing and playing with most of the same players each week. We had 3 girls on our team which was more then most and we had a few more first year players then most. Our team started out with around 12 players and ended up with 6. With all that said I had a great time having finished I think 8-2 or 7-3 . Coach Reali set up a fun program that was fun.   For the record it was fun winning the individual girls title but it would have been more fun winning the team title. I hope to see Scott , Janelle, Carli, Ryan, Max and Kevin next year playing golf  .

12. USGA Junior Girls Qualifier - Brookside Country Club - Stockton, CA - June 18, 2007

Its always nice to play a tournament at a golf course you know. One would assume a home course advantage of sorts. Not this time, struggles around the green all day due to some new nerves was tough to over come. However after playing and practicing  for a long time I may have over prepared  All in all a day to learn and reflect from. Not a bad 79 but not great.  Thanks to Mike for caddying for me. I should be better next time around

13. 57th California Junior State Championships - Monterey Peninsula Country Club - Pebble Beach CA - June 25 - 27, 2007

The golf course was awesome. Having never played at this event before it was a great experience and honor to play. I was enjoying the vistas so much I neglected to remove one of my wedges from my bag prior to starting the second round. I always practice with 4 wedges and take one out depending on course conditions. Having been a member at Brookside CC for over 5 years there are some wedges better then others there. I discovered the error of too many clubs on the fairway of the second hole and as a result was assessed a 4 stroke penalty. This would bring my total penalties to date to approximately 12 strokes (and counting) over the years. With all of that I finished second by 2 strokes over the 3 days. See you all next year.

14. The First Tee of Sacramento -Granite Bay Junior Golf Tournament-  Granite Bay CC - Granite Bay, Ca - July 2, 2007

An 81 was only good for a 2nd place finish. With  30 putts it could have been a much better day but my swing was not where it needed to be as I grow.  A change is needed to get better.  All in all a day to learn and reflect from. Thanks to Stewart Smith for hosting a great event.  Congratulations to Marissa Mare  for winning the overall girls championship her 74 from the 15-18 year division.

15. U.S. Women's Amateur qualifying - Corral De Tierra Country Club - Corral De Tierra CA - July 9, 2007

The golf course was awesome but my game sucked on this day. Having never played at this course before and having swing issues to deal with as I grow I think I finished 9 strokes higher then last year. I have pictures but will not share them as there is nothing I would like to remember about this day.

16. The First Tee of Sacramento - Peach Tree Junior Golf Tournament- Peach Tree CC - Marysville, Ca - July 16, 2007

After some strange results in June and July  and after some reflection a new local instructor was added to our team. That 81 was replaced with a solid 74 and an overall  title from the 12-14 year old girls division. With  28 putts it was  a much better day as my swing is getting back to where it needs to be as I grow.   Thanks to Pat Gould for hosting a great event.

No pictures from this event for some reason

17. The First Tee of Sacramento - The Jalle Berry Catlin Memorial Golf Tournament- Winchester CC - Meadow Vista , Ca - July 24, 2007

Another great result in July after some strange results in June and the beginning of July. Our team is seeing some great improvements in both swing, putting and scoring. With another  solid 74 and another overall  title from the 12-14 year old girls division July is ending much better then it started  Thanks to David Reese for hosting a great event.

18. The First Tee of Sacramento - Pat Campbell Jr. Associations Championship - Haggin Oaks G.C. - Sacramento, CA  August 4, 2007

Team events a a great deal of fun, especially when you win. We again held on to the cup for another year. We played against teams from Northern Nevada, and around the bay area. I think this is the 6th year of this team event

19. Pacific South West Cup-  NCGA Team Event - Green River Golf Course - Corona CA - September 1-3, 2007

This event was very unique and the first time I played on an team against kids from other parts of he U.S. It was a great deal of fun and a privilege to represent Northern California. Our team won in addition Kelsey and I were undefeated in our age group. I hope she plays this event again next year  The weather was great and Eve Bonham ran a great event. I hope to get picked again it was truly a great experience .

20. California Junior Golf Tour - Sycuan Resort - Singing Hills - Oakland California - September 8&9, 2007

I came into this event with no expectations what so ever. I had never seen either golf course before playing them. They are the sites for Junior Worlds so it was fun to see what the courses were like. Under the circumstances a great weekend. Congratulations to all the winners . My 2nd place finish was an unexpected result . With that said congratulations to all the participants and the overall winners.

21. The First Tee of Sacramento -The First Tee of Sacramento Tour Championship -  Sun City G.C. - Roseville, CA  September 15, 2007

A balky putter and some strange mistakes  led to a very poor finish. I never seem to play well of this course. With that said congratulations to all the participants and the overall winners. To be chosen to play was an honor. To have played better should of been the result .

22. The First Tee of Sacramento - Wildhorse GC Junior Tournament - - Wildhorse GC - Davis, CA  September 30, 2007

Another great result in September after some strange results. Our team is seeing some great improvements in both swing, putting and scoring. With another  solid 75 and another overall  title from the 12-14 year old girls division September is ending much better then it started  Thanks to Wildhorse for hosting a great event.

23. California Junior Golf Tour - Temecula Creek Inn Resort - Oak / Creek Golf Courses - Temecula California - October 6&7, 2007

This was one of those events that I did not get a chance to play the golf course before competing. With that said it was a great deal of fun. I played just well enough to win. Under the circumstances a great weekend. Congratulations to all the winners . My 1st  place finish was an unexpected result . With that said congratulations to all the participants. This event had some interesting allowances by its organizers. It seems Mr. Obrien and his group let some play from the wrong tee's. That fact makes this result less then important.

24. The First Tee of Sacramento - Empire Ranch Fundraiser- Empire Ranch GC - Folsom, CA  October 13, 2007

Another great event for The First Tee.  Rob and Mort were great team members in this event. A solid 72  was not enough to win anything other then a great time  Thanks to Empire Ranch for hosting a great event.

25. California Junior Golf Tour - Rancho Canada -  East Course - Carmel, California - October 20 & 21, 2007

This was one of those events that I did not get a chance to play the golf course before competing. With that said it was a great deal of fun the first day (74). I played just well enough to finish second with a second round poor finish. I lost a lead for the first time by just playing very poorly on the back nine and losing some focus. Under the circumstances a great weekend. Congratulations to all the participants especially those who were allowed to catch up after showing up late for there tee times and being driven from hole to hole. The CJT tour is very accommodating.

26. California Women's Amateur Championship - Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club - Carmel California - November 5 - 10, 2007

This was the second time at this event  and the most fun I have had this year.  A loose swing and a funny putter cost me a trip to the finals however I learned more playing against Lynne Cowan in the semi finals then I did all year playing in junior events.  She is not only a very good player but a gracious one as well. This was one of those events that will always attend if permitted and always cherish the memory of.  Congratulations to all the winners and  the golf course set up was unbelievable.  Thanks to Mike our friend and caddy i hope to play better for you nest year. I will practice putting on my kitchen floor to get ready for next years event.

27. The First Tee of Sacramento - William Land Park - Thanksgiving Event - Sacramento, CA  November 23, 2007

Another great event by the The First Tee. Only 9 holes by a fun place to hang out for the morning. Way to cold to play.  Thanks to William Land for hosting a great event.

28. California Junior Golf Tour -  CJT Fall Championship - La Costa- East / West Courses - Carlsbad California - December 1 & 2,  2007

Having only played this course a few times in 2006 I came to this event with no expectations what so ever. The horrible winter weather made most of the course unplayable the first day and soft the second day. Having only the front nine open on day one the tournament could/should have been canceled. However a good second day  score (5 birdies) resulted in me catching the leader  and losing in a one hole playoff.  I came from 5 strokes back!!!!!  Great learning experience and congratulations to all the winners. As this was my last CJT event it has been a interesting learning experience the past 2 years on this tour. I hope in future they actually use the rule book a little more .

29. The First Tee of Sacramento - Darkhorse GC Junior Championship - Auburn, CA  December 27, 2007

Another great event by the The First Tee. The Greens were still frozen!!!!!!!!! It was 32 degree's!!!!!! Way to cold to play.  Thanks to Darkhorse for hosting a great event and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
